My Approach to Helping

Have you wondered about why it seems so difficult to maintain relationships and friendships? Does your worry about what others might think get in the way of your being your most creative, productive self? Have you become depressed and hopeless as you feel that you are not fulfilling your potential? I would like to help you become less anxious, more comfortable with yourself and happier in your relationships and work. I work to create a supportive, accepting atmosphere in which you can develop curiosity about your thoughts, feelings and actions, explore your past and confront how it is impacting on your life today. Together, we will work to modify the repeating patterns of emotional reaction and behavior that interfere with your finding happiness and satisfaction in your current life. My thinking and method of working is primarily psychoanalytic in nature. However, I also understand behavior and problems from other psychological perspectives and work to find the method and understanding that works best for each individual.
