Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
It is all in the fit! Consider the processs of selecting a therapist just like shopping for a new pair of shoes. Take the therapist out of the so-called box, try the therapist on, and be aware of how you feel during the first session. If it is a good "fit" schedule another appointment; if not, place the therapist back in the box and pull out another pair to try on. Just like in the process of buying a new pair of shoes, continue looking until you find just the right fit. By following this method, you are certain to find someone who gives you the full attention you deserve, hears and understands what you are saying, gives you feedback and treats you with the utmost respect.
