My Approach to Helping
Suffering with anxiety and stress can stand in the way of your happiness. Sometimes friends and family just don't "get it" or simply lack the know-how to help you get past it. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I work with adults to reduce symptoms of anxiety, unlearn self-criticism, develop healthy boundaries, and build meaningful lives.
Young adults are a special area of clinical focus for me. You may be wrestling with your career, your relationships, or family pressures as you are trying to create the next chapter of your life. We will explore how to overcome obstacles that may be in the way of launching into the life you want.
When we work together, you will find our session time to be a safe space to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We will collaborate to pinpoint what's at the core of your difficulties and how to best resolve them. We may find that unhelpful thinking or behaviors are at play and we'll work to identify better, more effective ways to manage.
