In therapy, I'll explore with you how your inner world of thoughts and feelings and your outer world of relationships and social roles influence each other. I'll also be interested in the ways you may feel you've become stuck in repeating cycles of confusing, painful, and frustrating emotions and situations.

As we work together, I'll be alert to the ways you describe yourself: the stories you tell me -- and yourself -- about the sort of person you feel you are. Over the course of your life, reinforced by painful experiences and relationships, these stories may have become limiting and distorted. And you may have come to believe that your stories "prove" your feelings, behaviors, and relationships can never change. But therapy helps revise and expand these stories, so that new possibilities arise for a fuller, freer, and more authentic life.

I'm an active and engaged therapist who doesn't provide "the answers" for my clients. Rather, by listening to my clients with empathy, interest, and compassion, I facilitate a process in which answers can take shape through the work that we do together

More Info About My Practice

Our therapy sessions will provide the space and time to explore whatever is on your mind, such as feelings, problems, memories, dreams, experiences, and even your reactions to therapy itself. The focus will always be on you, but with plenty of give and take with me. Our conversations will help clarify your feelings, reveal and challenge painful assumptions, identify negative patterns, and increase your capacity to envision new possibilities. Sessions are held once a week or more often, and each session lasts around fifty minutes.
