I believe that stable, supportive, and playful relationships are central to happiness, and are, basically, the foundation for a rewarding life. Many people struggle with relationships for an array of reasons, including fear of rejection, fear of intimacy, or possibly not knowing how to connect on a deeper level. If you are having difficulty with relationships (on any level: getting involved in a romantic relationship or making your present relationship stronger, professionally, or personally with friends), therapy can help. As a psychotherapist, I use relational psychotherapy along with cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoeducation, as I have found that these are the most effective ways to feel better. My style is interpersonal and relaxed. My specialties consists of anxiety, relationship issues, infertility, substance abuse, and periods of crisis and transition. I completed a doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master's degree at Columbia University, and post-graduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
