What I find most meaningful about my work is watching men and women transform their lives and get results in permanently conquering eating disorders and other compulsions and addictions, stress and mood related-issues. Using a solution-based approach, I've been gratified to help hundreds of individuals and couples, those who are new to counseling as well as those who have "tried everything and been everywhere" to get unstuck.
Sometimes when you're struggling, it feels like the pain will never end. But that doesn't have to be true. I'm here to help you to find the resources and strategies to overcome your problems on a practical level, while also exploring the unconscious patterns that have sabotaged you in the past. You can feel better and you can have the life you want.
Having trained in virtually all of the therapeutic modalities with master clinicians and at Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry, I have found that the best approach is a unique blend of strategies tailored to each person's needs.
I have been unusually successful helping people with eating and weight problems to attain their goals permanently and find serenity with their bodies and relationship with food. My individual practice and Groups have empowered clients to find and sustain healthy relationships and achieve career success and economic freedom.

More Info About My Practice
I offer Individual, Group, Couples, and Family Counseling to men and women, ages 7-75, as well as personal coaching. I have very flexible hours in both my New York and NJ offices, which are both centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation.
While I do not take insurance directly, I?m happy to provide documentation that you may submit to your insurance provider to receive out-of-network benefits. My fees are comparable to other professionals with my experience and expertise, but I do some sliding scale work.
My New York office is centrally located in mid-town Manhattan, near Grand Central and Bryant Park. It is easily accessible to all the boroughs, and very close to Port Authority and Penn Station, making it easily reachable from Conn. and NJ. My NJ office is also centrally located, offers free, off-street parking, and is easy to get to from communities throughout the state.
I have received training from the Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry, and have also studied with a master clinicians in all therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, psychodynamic, Group, Couples, and Family therapy. I lecture frequently to professionals and the public.
I respond to all contacts promptly, and would be happy to discuss your needs and how I can be of help.
