I focus on helping children and families to overcome challenges by utilizing the therapeutic relationship along with cognitive behavioral techniques to give children the confidence and support they need to learn coping skills for addressing their difficulties. For younger children CBT techniques are taught through play based activities.

More Info About My Practice

I am also the first private practice in NYC to offer Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a highly successful evidence based treatment for children 2-7 with ADHD and/or disruptive behaviors. This therapy utilizes a coaching model to support parents through a two phase treatment. Phase one works on enhancing the attachment that often gets strained with children who display difficult behaviors after which phase two focuses on limit setting and discipline. I am a certified PCIT therapist and Level 1 trainer.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have a specialized interest in working with children who have Selective Mutism (SM) and have had lots of success working with these children and their families. Additionally, my training in PCIT allows me to be highly effective in working with parents and children with disruptive behaviors.
