My Approach to Helping
I strongly believe in, have a deep respect for, and trust in a person's capacity for personal growth, development and empowerment.
The key to the process of change is based upon my non-directive approach in the therapeutic relationship, where personal encounter between client and therapist becomes more real and trustworthy. Healing within this relationship is in direct proportion to the quality of the relationship, where intensity, deep presence and a sense of connection offers the greatest potential of self discovery and personal healing.

More Info About My Practice
I am an Australian, living and working in New York. While I do not take insurance, my work is guided by using a sliding-fee-scale. In our sessions we will work together, discuss and navigate an appropriate and acceptable fee that is suitable for each.
I strive to be alongside my clients in an authentic way - person to person.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

I am passionate about using the Person-Centered Approach in my professional practice, where I consistently strive to provide clients with a deep level of empathy, an intense quality of presence and an unwavering level of integrity. I believe that each person has within themselves their greatest potential for self-healing and personal growth. Working in a professional and therapeutic relationship, while providing a safe, confidential and trusting environment, I believe healing and empowerment comes from this connection between client and therapist.
I abide by the ACA Code of Ethics and have regular and on-going supervision. This assists me in maintaining an ethical and professional practice.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I have experienced many life struggles and often I felt very alone in trying to navigate these. I was often scared to find my way in search of personal understanding and acceptance. In combination with quality personal therapy, plus my level of maturity, integrity, sensitivity, honesty, robustness and sense of humor I believe this has enabled me to offer an intense quality of presence. I trust that I can provide a safe space for your personal growth, development and creativity.
