My Approach to Helping

I believe healing the relationship with the self is the key to happiness and freedom from past pain and trauma. I do not treat symptoms; I treat a whole person. I work with my clients to build a healthy relationship based on mutual trust, empathy, warmth and care in a non-judgmental atmosphere. I believe that the client is the expert; therefore, I empower my clients to take the lead in their treatment. I truly believe that full recovery is possible for anyone if they are willing to confront their issues. Additionally, I provide private coaching services for career building and improving communication skills.
I focus on the mind-body connection and work with my clients to understand how bodily symptoms are distracting them from painful thoughts and feelings. I use the method of Dr. John Sarno. With this approach I have helped people overcome: chronic pain and addictions. As a coach, I challenge clients to interact with the world differently to meet their needs.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I was suffering for most of my life. I tried many different therapists and nothing helped. Finally, due to my own chronic pain, I found a therapist who completely changed my life. Not only did we alleviate the pain, he gave me faith in myself and showed me that people can truly change. Because he gave that gift to me, I believe it is my duty to give that to others.
