My Approach to Helping
Please note that I am currently only offering therapy via a HIPAA compliant Telehealth service that offers excellent video and audio, allowing you to engage in therapy from the comfort and convenience of your own home. I view therapy as a collaborative experience aimed at helping patients become the best version of themselves. I love working with patients who are motivated to make change and excited to learn more about who they are and how they navigate the world. I have a plethora of experience working with individuals and couples who have mood disorders, anxiety related disorders, complex physical and sexual abuse traumas, and those who have difficulty adjusting to life changes.
I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which is an active, structured, and goal oriented form of therapy that aims to uncover and change maladaptive patterns of thoughts and behaviors. Additionally, I practice EFT for couples and EMDR, CPT, PET, and WET for those with symptoms of PTSD. I'm glad to provide you more details on all modalities.
Whether you're returning or going for the first time, therapy can be scary. I pride myself on creating a warm, accepting, and empathetic environment that aids patients in opening up and exploring themselves. I am direct with patients and encourage them to face things that make them uncomfortable so they're able to grow.
