My Approach to Helping
I am the founder of Sentient Psychotherapy, a group private practice in downtown Manhattan, where we help our clients create meaningful growth and change by combining the proven effectiveness of mindfulness-based therapy with our core values of commitment, compassion and connection. We are providing in-person and teletherapy sessions.
In a warm, professional, and safe environment, our therapists can help you learn to better handle your emotional or psychological pain with compassion while developing the skills and resources to make positive changes in your life. We will work together to understand the ways in which your attitudes towards yourself and others may be getting in the way of your happiness and well-being. We work well with individuals and couples and have trained extensively in LGBTQ clinical issues.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive compulsion (OCD), identity, relationship, or career issues, our therapists use a nonjudgmental approach with open curiosity and evidence-based behavioral interventions to help interrupt habitual and often self-sabotaging tendencies. Accepting, and working with - not against - your difficulties is the starting point.
