What's My Approach to Therapy?
I specialize in supporting adults, young adults, and couples navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues.
Lasting change comes from a deep understanding of the self, which is why my goal is to help you explore the relationship between your past, the events of your daily life, and your experience of your internal world. At all times, I listen with an open mind and strive to help move you from judgment of the self and others toward empathy and curiosity. I look forward to guiding you along this path and into lasting mental wellness.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in a psychodynamic framework, meaning that together we will explore the relationship between your past and the patterns you notice showing up in your daily life and inner world. While our work will focus on deepening self-awareness, I will also integrate other approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based interventions as needed to help you actualize that awareness, and to cope with overwhelming emotions.
I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, as I believe this is among the most important parts of any treatment. Through this relational approach, I bring warmth, curiosity, and empathy to your care.
