What's My Approach to Therapy?
Therapy should be a place where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged. I am here to help adults navigate grief, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and postpartum challenges with compassion and care. In every session, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your story, strengthen your coping skills, and reconnect with a sense of hope and purpose.
I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), grief treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I draw from each approach as needed to best support your goals. Dialectical behavior therapy may help you manage strong emotions and build distress tolerance. Cognitive behavioral therapy can guide you in shifting unhelpful thought patterns. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing provides a path for processing trauma and difficult memories. For new parents, I offer dedicated postpartum therapy, supporting those experiencing postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, or the identity shifts that come with caring for a new baby.
I am passionate about walking beside clients through both pain and growth. I understand how heavy life can feel at times, and how meaningful it is to find steadier ground. Whether you are seeking dialectical behavior therapy for support with emotion regulation or are in the midst of a loss and looking for grief therapy to feel less alone, I will meet you with warmth, encouragement, and a belief in your capacity to heal.
