My Approach to Helping
Life feels chaotic. You experience emotions more intensely than other people, and no matter what you do, you just can’t seem to find your way out of recurrent depression, chronic anxiety, and the tumult of your quickly changing, powerful emotions. More than anything, you crave calm and connection in your relationships. And yet, the closer a relationship becomes, the more chaotic things get. You just want to be able to live life on your terms.
I get it. I’m passionate about helping people like you find the calm, closeness, and peace that’s been just out of reach. I do this by staying active, unrelentingly curious, and open-minded as I put my mind to work alongside yours, helping you to understand your own mind and the minds of those around you a bit more clearly. I engage you in the work of Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT), an evidence-based, effective treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) that’s been adapted for a number of other conditions, such as depression, eating disorders, and PTSD.
