My Approach to Helping

Searching for the right Clinician can be discouraging for anyone but most importantly People of color. "How do I know that this person will understand me?'' You might ask. In a field where POC are not heavily represented, these feelings and questions you might have are normal. I am here to provide not only a brave space for self-discovery but also healing. Being a Women of color, It is important that I create a therapeutic space where we both engage in the process of your healing. Maybe you are dealing with work stress or you are feeling overwhelmed post pandemic. Either way, I feel that everyone has the autonomy to change their lives and I will be that aid in helping you discover that. Together we will reflect in an empathic environment suited for your individual needs. Above all, you are in charge of your treatment and I am here to support you and guide you towards a step forward.I have been providing mental health services for 3 years in multiple different settings, allowing for a diverse and broad expertise. I have promoted my values in creating a just and accessible experience for POC. Social justice has always been an important aspect of mine and I feel that it is a major component of therapy. Using a combination of different techniques, I am able to help clients dealing with topics ranging from depression and anxiety to work stress and self-esteem. Take a step forward with me and together we will work toward feeling and being better.

    My hope for our sessions together is that I am able to be that professional support system that allows for growth and prosperity. I believe that therapy is a working model and that we are forever going to be working on becoming better versions of ourselves. Together we will work on your ability to assume such responsibilities within your life. Choosing to take steps forward is not an easy decision, making it to our website took courage and it will be that courage that will be used as an aid in your treatment. You are dealing with a lot, and chances are you are feeling as though you are at your wits end. The choice you made in deciding it what was time for therapy shows that you are ready for change. Whatever that change is, I will be there supporting you and helping you. I feel that therapy is about being a good listener and I hold that quality, but also in a session with me expect a more directive approach. I will point out inconsistencies and patterns that can be contributing to your overall well-being. Together we will broaden our understanding of these patterns and their origins. You will never be expected to do it alone, every step of the way I will be there but it will be your strength that carries you towards your goals.
