My Approach to Helping
It is a natural human habit to avoid painful feelings and retreat from what's unfamiliar or challenging. And yet, when this way of coping gets over-used, we begin to teach ourselves that we are less able. Opportunities are missed. Our range of comfort shrinks. Little by little, we lose faith in ourselves.
I will help you change your relationship to the difficulties you face--whether they are rooted in depression, anxiety, grief, or trauma. We are all capable of so much more than we believe, and struggle, discomfort--and often even misfortune--create opportunities for us to grow and transform.
Through our work, you will find that there is freedom in turning toward what we would rather push away and that accepting whatever is, paradoxically, is what allows for change.
