My Approach to Helping

Storytelling can bring you out of your world and into another realm. In my practice, I use narrative therapy to more deeply engage with clients as they find their voice, deepen their self awareness, and rewrite unhelpful stories. Together, we can delve into your past, connect patterns to the problems impacting you today, and write a new story empowering you to confront challenges confidently.

Improving relationships is a cornerstone of my practice. Most of our relationship patterns—the good and the bad—are formed in early childhood. By digging into our previous experiences, we can confront unhelpful patterns, cope with challenges, and create healthier connections.

When communication challenges crop up, many of my clients tell themselves they’re the problem, they’re a bad person, or their friends all hate them. Sound familiar? If so, let’s work together to shift that self-talk and re-write your story. I welcome anything and everything into sessions, so come with your dreams, stream of consciousness, and most authentic emotions so we can confront your patterns at the source.

More Info About My Practice

Mental health struggles and issues are ever present in our lives at one point or another. Therapy can teach you to have compassion when those challenges come up, both for yourself or other people. By learning to have compassion, challenges like anxiety and depression start having less control over our lives.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Therapy is a space to grow, learn about, and be oneself through the comforting connection of another individual. Through the relationship formed in the therapeutic alliance, one is able to experience the uniqueness of unwavering curiosity, without judgment or agenda. Therapy offers clients safety, solace, and the sometimes oh-so-needed silence.

Many of my clients are struggling to form healthy relationships. Challenges might arise with their partners, families, friends, or coworkers. I work with them to unpack the relationship patterns they’ve been carrying since childhood so new, healthy dynamics can take root.

I also enjoy working with creatives. As a former entertainment employee, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face. Through self-reflection, I help these individuals find joy in their work.
