My Approach to Helping
I have worked in the field of psychology for 34 years, and have a long history working with professionals, and BIPOC patients, and the underserved. When you feel depressed and anxious, people often try to cope on their own, but speaking to a therapist can bring further understanding of what is making the adjustment to life and friendship issues, family issues, or breakups and losses difficult. I have worked in outpatient departments in a Columbia University-affiliated hospital-based clinic, providing therapy and supervision to residents and psychologists in training.
I especially love to be part of the healing path and working with people. I work with depressed and anxious people, as well as people who have experienced trauma. I use different therapeutic approaches that best suits each individual client. I will contact you within 24 hours for an appointment. It's important to work towards things that are important and meaningful after you start feeling better.
