My Approach to Helping
My philosophy and approach to helping people is based on understanding them as deeply as I can based on my experiences in listening, thinking and reflecting on their unique struggles within themselves and with their primary relationships. To me, the establishment of a basic trust and feeling of safety is a prerequisite to beginning the process of therapy. A person's present, past and concerns about the future are intertwined and related. I believe that therapy is not just about obtaining symptom relief. It is a way to grow and develop and become a better integrated person with a greater capacity to enjoy ones' life work, relationships and interests in their world.
