My Approach to Helping
In today's society, we are often expected to have everything figured out and put our best selves forward. Sometimes we just need a space to be our full unfiltered selves where we do not have to know the answer. As a therapist who specializes in anxiety, depression and life transitions, I have a trauma-informed, narrative approach that also incorporates mindfulness practices. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgemental space in order for you to openly share your thoughts and feelings. I believe this space will provide a foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship centered around trust and healing.
I practice through a person-centered, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist framework. I come from a perspective of recognizing how systems of oppression and power impact every individual. My practices are always inclusive of supporting the individual in identifying their needs and therapeutic goals.
Through our work together, we will get to the root of any barriers you are experiencing in hopes of feeling relief and equipped with strategies to navigate future challenges.
