I view people as having the tools and solutions within them, to overcome their challenges, and therapy, as a facilitator in aiding people garner a better understanding of themselves, their strengths, and how to tap into their inner resources, to achieve their goals.
More Info About My Practice
I provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families of diverse backgrounds, ages and sexual orientations. I have helped many clients work through a variety of issues, such as martial/couple conflict, co-parenting after the dissolution of a relationship, adapting to life cycle transitions (i.e. empty nest or a new addition), trauma brought on by sexual, physical or verbal abuse, and mental health challenges. Therapy is done in an emotionally supportive, judgment-free and caring environment.
I am a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through IATP.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Being a psychotherapist is not just a job to me, but instead a vocation. I enjoy working with people, and am often attending trainings to enhance my skills and knowledge, to be able to provide the best service possible.
