My Approach to Helping
As an integrative mental health practitioner, I focus on creating a safe, trusting space where you feel seen and valued. I understand that everyone is unique, so I use a flexible, creative approach to tailor sessions to fit your needs, whether you're an individual or a couple.
My therapy combines methods like narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices. This blend helps me address a variety of concerns in a holistic way.
I've had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds, addressing a range of mental health issues, with a special focus on mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and stress. My goal is to support you in your journey toward healing, resilience, and self-discovery.
More Info About My Practice
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and multicultural issues (including racial identity and assimilation). I'm the ideal therapist for clients that are looking to engage actively in their healing journey through reflection and making changes outside of therapy. Together, we'll work toward understanding intersections of identity, reducing symptoms, and fostering personal growth. My goal is to empower you to connect with who you are and live more authentically.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love being a therapist because I understand how difficult it can be to open up about parts of yourself that you might feel ashamed or guilty about. I find great joy in helping people see that these parts of themselves are not only accepted but also part of what makes them lovable and normal. Being a therapist allows me to help clients reshape the stigmas and negative associations they have about themselves, without changing who they are. It?s incredibly fulfilling to witness this process of transformation and self-acceptance.
