My Approach to Helping
My ideal client is someone who is stressed, dealing with burnout, dealing with everyday life challenges and are stuck or unsure of what hisher next move may be, who needs someone to listen and be heard, in a “safe space” where heshe can freely express his or herself. Someone who understands everyone struggles and it is okay to ask for help. Whose goals are to learn better ways to cope and deal with hisher issues. Someone who wants to live their best life without fear and anxiety but with courage and resilience. Working together, my hope is to get this client closer to their ideal self, a self without despair but filled with hope.
My approach to therapy is person-centered. Meaning, I provide a safe and nurturing environment, where I listen to the meaning behind the words spoken by the client, to provide insight, promote reflection and to foster growth. I find its better to customize client’s treatment utilizing various modalities based on hisher current issues, needs, history, etc.
Let’s Talk about the things you can’t or won’t say to anyone who knows you, for fear of being judged, being called a “bad person” for expressing how you feel. Let’s talk about the difficulties you are experiencing, from work, school, a relationship or stress. No judgement just a safe haven for you because you always put yourself last and everyone else first.
