My Approach to Helping
Panic attacks and anxiety- I've been there. Just being yourself can feel exhausting when you are anxious. That's why it's my mission to treat people facing these struggles and make sure they find a fulfilling life on the other side. Since anxiety is so prevalent among young adults, I especially enjoy helping this demographic deal with and heal from this debilitating state of mind.
I believe in providing a balanced approach to therapy: I'm an active listener, but I'll also provide solutions and action items to help you overcome the obstacles you're facing. I create a welcoming atmosphere, so you can feel comfortable growing into the best version of yourself. I draw from a variety of approaches–including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness practices–to find the combination of techniques that will work best for you.
Together, we’ll leverage your strengths, implement effective coping skills, and create a sense of purpose in your day-to-day. There is a fulfilling life beyond anxiety- one where being yourself feels effortless- and I would love to help you find it.
