My Approach to Helping
I have a strong background in evidence based practice. This means we can take a structured, action-oriented approach to treatment by setting and meeting goals, or we can work together to build a space where you are free to vent and express yourself with my undivided attention. Regardless of the approach we decide to take, you will have a designated hour each week to have your specific needs met.
I have worked with clients experiencing emotion-regulation difficulties, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders as well as clients who are experiencing general life dissatisfaction or frustration. I have had intensive training that has prepared me to work with clients who are actively in distress, and I have found that each tool can also be used to treat clients who are experiencing other everyday challenges. Regardless of the intensity of your emotional needs at any given moment, we can work together to take a nonjudgmental approach to finding a solution.
