My Approach to Therapy

Therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or overly serious. Some of the most meaningful breakthroughs happen in moments of honesty, humor, and genuine human connection and that's exactly the kind of space I try to create. Whether you're carrying something heavy or just feeling a little lost, you're welcome here exactly as you are. I'm Robert Lynch, LMHC, and I work with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach draws from Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices blending insight with practicality so that what we explore in session actually translates into your everyday life. I'm also deeply informed by research on spirituality and Buddhist concepts, weaving in meaning-making and self-compassion as foundations for lasting change. If that resonates with you, great. If it doesn't, we work with what does. What I care about most is helping you develop a clearer, kinder relationship with your own mind understanding the thoughts, beliefs, and experiences that shape how you move through the world, and gently challenging the ones that are holding you back. Real change doesn't usually arrive all at once. It builds through small, consistent steps toward self-understanding, and I'll be with you for every one of them. This is a collaborative, judgment-free space where curiosity and growth go hand in hand and where showing up is always enough to get started.

My Practice & Services

I work with adults and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, using an integrative blend of PCT, CBT, mindfulness, and spirituality-informed approaches. Every session is tailored to you your pace, your values, your goals. Taking that first step is often the hardest part. My services are available across New York, Florida, and Maine. Reach out today to schedule a consultation and let's see if we're a good fit. I'd love to hear what's bringing you in. On a personal note I have spent nearly a decade practicing jiu jitsu. I am a devoted Blink 182 fan. I am currently learning the art and patience of golf.
