My approach to therapy is collaborative. You know you best and are the expert on you. I see myself as your guide to help keep you on track with your treatment goals, so that you can overcome your challenges and realize your full potential. I will work with you to develop your treatment goals, whether they are life or job changes, self esteem issues, communication issues, relationships, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, OCD, grief/loss and more. Whatever it is, I will help guide you through the process.
My approach is holistic and solution-focused. Once we understand the what, we can then work on helping you weave the insights you gain into your life, and effect the change or outcome you desire. The exciting part about this, is that I truly enjoy watching how when you find insight or change in just one part or your being, all parts of you change with it.
My office is a warm, nurturing environment to help you feel safe and comfortable to explore challenges before you and embrace change. I am compassionate, solution-focused, and use several therapeutic modalities to help you accomplish change.
I also have specialized training and experience to help those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and chronic illness issues. I also work a lot with people struggling with stress, communication issues, marriage difficulties, life coaching, career coaching, grief and loss issues, drug addictions and sobriety, domestic violence, and trauma. My work is with individuals, couples, teens and elderly, as well as members of the military and their families.
My background is varied and diverse. I have an extensive administrative background in the private sector in rolls which range from secretary to executive assistant, administrator, accounting and human resources, as well as having managed multiple insurance general agency offices both State-side and Overseas. I am also a Holistic Health Practitioner (with focus on the mind-body relationship), a Master Herbalist, Reiki Master/Teacher, Pranic Healer, and have extensively studied in comparative religions.

More Info About My Practice
It is my belief that therapy should be affordable. I do not my clients in therapy on a long term basis (unless there is a very specific need for so doing, or if it involves matters of personal safety). I offer a sliding scale for those unable to afford full-fee sessions.
I do not accept insurance. However, upon request I can provide you with a Super Bill that you may present to your insurance carrier. You will be responsible for determining the requirements of your carrier.
For convenience, I accept multiple forms of payment for sessions, as follows: cash, check, money order, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express).
For convenience of your work schedules, I offer Saturday days hours and some evening appointments.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
The client-therapist relationship is a very intimate relationship, and one not only worthy of trust, but one that demands it. It is a relationship where a client absolutely must experience the therapist's genuineness, and authenticity. The client must feel confidence in their therapist's professional ability, integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to hold their emotional space so they can do their work. Once the client is able to experience this, the true work the client came in for can begin.

I specialize in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, change of life issues, and grief and loss issues.
