Counseling begins as an exploration into new opportunities for self-improvement. My goal is to help you with the process of making those changes so you not only feel better but get better.If you're looking to move forward, together we can establish your goals and then work on achieving them. What you need and what you want creates the roadmap for our work. Counseling cannot change the past but can put these events in perspective to help you live more fully in the present. We learn from the past but we don't want to live there.
One of the best tools I bring on this journey is the ability to listen to you. I appreciate the complex interaction between mind, body and spirit, the deep connection between past and present and the various challenges faced along the lifespan.
I am a licensed professional counselor ( LPC ) using both traditional and alternative orientations according to your needs. This approach lends itself well to the development of goals that can lead to changes in perspective and actions to feel better and get better.

I have training in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and use CBT and EMDR modalities. Scientific research has established EMDR as effective for post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( combat trauma, abuse history, single incident trauma),panic attacks, phobias, disturbing memories and pain disorders.
