My Approach to Helping
Having a safe, confidential space to share your concerns, strategize and process what you are going through is very important during this uncertain time. I provide on-line services including, teletherapy on video platform, FaceTime and telephone options so you can experience therapy from the comfort of your home. Please call me for a free 15 minute consultation to see how I can be helpful to you.
I am a warm, compassionate and empathic therapist which, in combination with extensive training and skills developed over many years of practice, enables me to work successfully with people who are dealing with a wide variety of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, social anxiety, academic and career concerns, trauma, grief and life transitions.
Because each individual is unique, I utilize an integrative approach including Psychodynamic therapy, Hypnotherapy, and CBT, among others, to find the best fit for you. Hypnotherapy can be very helpful in treating a variety of issues including stress, anxiety, and insomnia. CBT addresses negative and self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaviors that may be impacting your life and keeping you stuck and unable to move forward. I also provide stress management and mindfulness training.
My area of expertise is working with young adults and adults. I spent several years working at the NYU Counseling Services providing psychotherapy to students from diverse backgrounds who were dealing with academic, social, and relationship challenges in the Bachelor, Master, and PhD Programs. My practice is diverse and includes people from many different life experiences.
