My Approach to Helping

My Journey To Becoming A Therapist
I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.

Growing up, my therapist was my hero. She gave me the tools I needed to handle whatever life threw at me. Because of that, I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a person that could offer others the same type of support.

My life experiences are what lead me to become the therapist I am today.

Helping People Is What I Look Forward To Every Day
Being a Therapist is fulfilling. I love helping people become healthier and more empowered and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Therapist is inspiring others to be all they can be.

I am committed to helping you make progress towards your goals.

I Have Empathy For Others And Bring Warmth And Understanding To Sessions
I have a natural ability to:
-Understand people's experiences
-Help people feel comfortable
-Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them
-Help clients heal their past and manage the present

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people feel heard and understood which helps people feel seen and start to heal.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You
Sessions will provide you with the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to gain clarity and be understood and heard.

It's important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to Counseling. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As A Therapist, I Embrace The Following Philosophies
I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work
I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Mental Health Counseling helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less suffering and more fulfillment

You will get the effective skills you need to find your way through difficult feelings and situations and finally find answers and get the help you need.

Even if you are not sure how a therapist could help you, Mental Health Counseling may be able to help. I've helped depressed Moms who look in the mirror and are unable to recognize themselves start feeling interested in life again. With new motivation, comes the new energy they desire to have for being an engaged Mom, partner, and friend.

My Therapy Focus

How Mental Health Counseling Works
Mental Health Counseling consists of 60-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. In addition to listening, I will guide you towards solutions, I play an active role. Here?s how it will work step-by-step:

1. First, I provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles with me.
2. Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of what your challenges are.
3. We will start with helping you with immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and challenging life situations
4. We will also work to discover what your goals are in therapy and in life.
5. Keeping your unique goals in mind, we?ll figure out what?s needed to help you reach them
6. Over the course of our sessions, you will start making progress towards the life you desire.

Research shows that Mental Health Counseling can positively change your thinking, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. It can help you let go of what's holding you back.
