My Approach to Helping
It’s natural to sometimes feel helpless when encountering tough situations; it can happen to anyone. There’s no shame in feeling afraid, hopeless, or desperate. While others may try to downplay your feelings, I, as your therapist, will not. Such feelings deserve to be addressed in a respectful and healthy way. My job is to guide you towards authenticity as you learn to feel empowered as your true self.
My approach is eclectic, reflective, and tailored, allowing space for personal growth and concrete coping skills to build up resilience. I help people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, loss, relationship issues, and a myriad of other issues not listed here. I also love working with fellow millennials, helping young adults experiencing “quarter-life crises.” I use modalities such as dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I conduct both English and Mandarin sessions, Monday through Friday. It is important when looking for a therapist to find the right fit for you, which is why I offer free consultations to allow you to assess whether working together is the right choice for you.
