My Approach to Helping
Do you feel stuck, want to move past recurring issues or feel happier and more fulfilled? Are you feeling unsatisfied in your current relationships, going through a divorce or break-up, have anxiety, ADHD or feel depressed? Dealing with these issues on our own can be overwhelming. Life can feel more hopeful and challenges seem easier to manage when you have someone who will truly listen and help guide you along the way. I am here to help you realize you can get through anything, that you are enough, and you can live the life you want and love!
Discovering the truth of who you are and expressing that seems like it'll hurt people and ruin relationships, but in fact it's the opposite. Not saying what we truly feel is what tears apart relationships and leads to depression, anxiety, and feelings of sadness and disconnection.
Discovering our courage to connect when we feel vulnerable allows us to move forward to improve our lives and our relationships. It is often difficult to communicate our thoughts and feelings and so I strive to provide an environment of listening, sharing, safety, honesty and respect that is non-judgmental.

I provide a free 20 minute consultation over the phone.
My fee for 50 minute individual counseling sessions is $150.
I am in the process off getting off of the Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance network at this time, but am still accepting clients.
I am also happy to provide receipts for reimbursement from your insurance carrier as an out of network provider or toward your deductible. Please check with your insurance provider for details of your benefits.
I also offer a sliding scale for those who do not have insurance coverage or cannot afford the full self pay rate.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
My goal is to help inspire and empower people to accept themselves, realize their worth and transform their lives. Communicating our thoughts and feelings can be a difficult. Sometimes we have no idea what we are feeling. Exploring blocks we have and the stories we tell ourselves helps people get unstuck and to move forward to improve their relationships and their lives. Doing this in an environment that is non-judgmental, honest and respectful is my ultimate goal.
My Therapy Focus
I am extremely passionate about the groundbreaking research of Brene Brown and her new Daring Way program. I want to help people feel more fulfilled, connected and to love their lives. I want to help clients discover the joy and happiness that comes from being authentic, having the courage to be real and truly connect with others. I want to share with you the power of embracing who you are, building your courage to be seen, and realizing that our self-esteem is linked with discovering how we handle shame. Then watch what happens as you begin to experience being yourself, feel like you belong and what it means to know that you are enough.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
I believe that people have different issues that could stem from a number of different areas. We all have different brain chemicals, different personalities, experiences, history, family, hereditary factors, upbringing, traumas, etc. Since we all have issues, there is nothing "wrong" with us if we choose to get help to make our lives better. In fact, I consider it an act of strength and courage when someone reaches out and is willing to better themselves and improve their lives by using whatever resources are available. I also believe that going to therapy and looking within for answers is not easy; that is why it is called "the road less traveled". If it were easy, everyone would be doing it and hence people might be more fulfilled, and then what would the world look like? I think it would be a much better place!
