My Approach to Helping
Thanks for taking the time to learn more about my practice.
I am a licensed counseling psychologist in New York State and the State of New Jersey, and I work with adolescents, emerging adults, and adults. My practice addresses a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral issues for individuals, couples, and families. Humor, conversation, and personal connection are a cornerstone of my practice.
Within my work, I am deeply committed to the inclusion of multicultural content and issues of social justice. I come to each session with a desire to use the power of human narratives to foster deep, meaningful connections with my clients.
I have nearly two decades of experience. During that time, I have provided individual and group psychotherapy, comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, as well as large scale clinical and educational interventions in a variety of settings. These settings include Baruch College, the Chapin School, the Child Mind Institute, the New Jersey Public School System, the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) Charter Schools, the Lauder Institute, Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, New York University, the Institute for Children and Families at Rutgers University, The School at Columbia University and the US State Department, Foreign Service Institute.
I hold my Bachelor of Arts in English, Art History, and Humanities from the University of Colorado at Boulder; Master of Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University—New Brunswick; and Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology (PhD) from New York University. I am a New Jersey and Colorado native who sees clients in my New York City and Jersey City offices.
