My Approach to Helping
Dr. Claire Nakajima, Psy.D., of Thriving Center of Psychology, received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University. She has worked with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings including hospitals, college counseling, and outpatient clinics. Dr. Nakajima specializes in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, and relationship difficulties. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and incorporates mindfulness into her practice to provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care.
