My Approach to Helping

"Most of us spend big portions of our lives focused on making sure others are happy, no matter the toll it takes on us. I believe that therapy provides a space to focus on you and to pursue the things that make YOU feel satisfied. My goal is to help my clients identify the things that are holding them back and to teach them the skills they need to live life to the fullest."

Dr. Milburn is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in treating Anxiety and Depressive Disorders. He uses a wide range of cognitive and behavioral techniques to empower individuals to live more joyful and fulfilling lives. He has extensive training in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Ask yourself if there is anything getting in the way of you achieving your goals, maintaining healthy relationships, or feeling your best. If there is, then therapy could help! Getting started in therapy is typically the most intimidating part, especially finding a therapist. The good news is that most therapists offer a free or low-cost consultation for you to take advantage of! Pick out a few therapists online, give them a call, and see which one you're most comfortable with.

Once you've done the hard part, you can expect therapy to feel like building a new relationship with someone who has no other goal than to help you excel in every area of your life. It is conversational and free of judgment. When else do you have time set aside to specifically focus on you?!
