My Approach to Helping
I became a therapist because I believe in the power of healing and growth. I understand how it feels to be overwhelmed, lost, and unsure of where to turn. But I also know the incredible strength that lies within each individual. My mission is to guide you on a journey of self-discovery, providing unwavering support, empathy, and understanding. Together, we will explore the depths of your experiences, unraveling the layers of pain and unlocking your inner resilience. I want to empower you to break free from the grip of anxiety, depression, trauma, or attachment issues and find a renewed sense of purpose, joy, and authenticity. You deserve a life filled with happiness, and I am here to help you navigate the path toward lasting transformation.
More Info About My Practice
As a therapist, I believe in the inherent worth and potential for growth within every individual. I am deeply committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of stigma or discrimination.
I am extremely passionate about mental health advocacy and destigmatizing conversations around mental well-being and psychedelics. For the past two years, I have been actively engaged in raising awareness about psychedelics psychotherapy by becoming a leader of the Psychedelic Caucus on Columbia's campus and interning at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to this modality, as well as quality mental health care and support as a whole, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Additionally, I am an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a biracial woman, I embrace cultural humility and recognize the importance of addressing the unique needs and experiences of individuals from different backgrounds. I am committed to fostering a culturally sensitive environment and continuously educating myself to better serve diverse populations.
Outside of my therapeutic practice, I engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and evidence-based practices. I believe in the power of lifelong learning and continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills to better serve my clients.
Further, as a native Californian, very stereotypically, I care deeply about sustainability, animal rights, Mexican food, surfing, and most importantly, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. (However, I refuse to go to Coachella).
