My Approach to Helping
I provide a space where young adults and women—particularly Black and BIPOC women—can show up and feel supported. Racism, discrimination, and microaggressions can cause you to question your self worth and contribute to anxiety, depression, or grief and loss. I’ve developed a mindfulness based, trauma informed, and anti-oppressive practice that empowers you to achieve your unique goals. We’ll work together to discover your passions, remove blocks, and create fulfillment.
More Info About My Practice
Emotions are like waves. They come and go. If you don’t allow yourself to feel what you feel, that wave will only get bigger and come back. Move through your emotions like water and learn what you need to learn so you can grow spiritually.
As a psychotherapist, I’m committed to the wellbeing of people from diverse backgrounds and have developed a mindfulness based, trauma informed, and anti-oppressive practice that empowers you to achieve liberation. We’ll work together to dream, discover your passions, remove blocks, and create fulfillment.
Every moment is an opportunity to grow. One of my mottos is something my grandfather taught me: “You’re going to get the lesson until you get the lesson.” That means that sometimes, the same lesson presents itself over and over until it’s fully integrated.
You aren’t reading this by chance, so trust your gut. If you’re looking to create a better life for yourself, finding a therapist is the first step.
