My Approach to Helping
Teens are experiencing anxiety and depression at an increased rate. The pressures of school, friendships, and social media are overwhelming. You are noticing that your teen is irritable, withdrawn, expressing excessive worry or sadness, and having difficulty managing their emotions. Communication between you and your teen is tense or non-existent. My goal in therapy is to help your teen identify their emotions and develop coping strategies to improve their emotional-well being. I work to quickly build rapport with your teen so that they feel comfortable to speak about their problems and feelings.
I have experience working with children of all ages, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transition issues. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, person-centered, and play therapy techniques. Therapy will be tailored to your unique needs.
I offer a non-judgmental and warm space where you can feel comfortable speaking freely. I provide telehealth and in person sessions to New Jersey residents and I am regularly available, and easy to reach.
