My formative years included invaluable experience with the Samaritans of New York City, where I embraced the befriending model—a compassionate approach to offering support without judgment. This experience profoundly shaped my therapeutic philosophy and continues to inform my practice today. I believe in the power of empathy, active listening, and the creation of a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings freely. I work with clients to help them navigate multiple life stressors, specifically around relationship issues, intimacy, struggles with identity, and career goals. I specialize in working with the Black and African community, and individuals struggling with racialized trauma. I also have experience supporting and working with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety.
