As a Rapid Transformational Therapist , I'm passionate about helping individuals rewire their brains to project positive images and words. I believe in the power of beliefs—first you make your beliefs, and then your beliefs make you. My mission is to empower others to break free from limiting beliefs and unlock their true potential. I chose to become an RTT therapist because I find the approach both creative and innovative, and I'm excited to work with clients to help them improve their lives. I can help you identify and overcome negative thought patterns that may be holding you back. By becoming more attuned to your beliefs, you can create a brighter, more positive future for yourself. Let's work together to unleash the best version of you!
Hi, I'm Dr. Adam Weissman, Founder & Director of The Child & Family Institute and Weissman Children’s Foundation. I'm an avid traveler, adventurer, creator, collector, and the proud dad of two young boys. I specialize in the transdiagnostic assessment and treatment of pediatric anxiety, depression, habit, attention, and behavior disorders, including my new Compassionate Parent Training program, and Feelings Fuzzies book series for young children. Our team specializes in most things within the realm of evidence-based treatment--from OCD, habits, and tics, to phobias, trauma, panic, and selective mutism, to learning, attention, behavior problems, parenting, and family conflict, to health and sports psychology. I'm an authentic guy with a ton of lived experience, who loves to laugh and connect deeply, which I think are assets in the therapy room and create unique opportunities for trust-building, meaningful connection, and transformational change, well beyond your traditional cognitive and behavioral therapies, or eclectic, evidence-based approach. I'm available for private in-home sessions, texts and phone calls between sessions as clinically indicated, as well as other special circumstances given the wishes of the client and careful ethical considerations. I also run a doctoral training program through CFI, training the next generation of culturally informed and connected, compassionate, data-driven future psychologists. And my private concierge practice directly supports pro bono services for underserved children and families through the Weissman Children’s Foundation.
I believe that therapy can change people in very real and dramatic ways. The collaborative relationship is key to understanding how both the past impacts on the present and how current behaviors, feelings and ideas may interfere in achieving a more personally satisfying life. I have over 30 years of experience in both individual and marital therapy. I have extensive post-graduate training and have taught and supervised numerous other psychotherapists. In a non-judgmental, open and reflective way I help people look at themselves and make changes in their lives.
I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, and the weight that builds up when life gets genuinely hard. That includes LGBTQ+ youth and adults, adolescents with disabilities, couples, people of color, and clients who have felt like the system was not built with them in mind. My approach is integrative and strengths-based, with CBT and trauma-informed care at the core, and I show up with genuine empathy and honest directness. I offer clients a safe space to share their most vulnerable moments, free of judgment, to hone their skills, and to be unapologetically themselves while making progress toward their goals. I can't wait to see how far you come! Reach out when you are ready.
I believe that people already carry within them the capacity to grow, heal, and change. My role is to create a relationship where that capacity has room to surface. My approach is person-centered at its core: I offer warmth, unconditional positive regard, and genuine respect for your autonomy, because I've found that people move forward most fully when they feel understood rather than managed. Much of my work is with capable, driven people who are quietly running on empty. If you're navigating burnout, high-functioning anxiety, or the steady wear of daily pressures like long commutes, parenting, or raising a teenager, you'll find a space here to slow down, be heard, and make sense of what's happening. Sessions are collaborative and grounded in the present. We'll look at the patterns that keep you in overdrive, build practical tools you can use right away, and reconnect you with what matters most. As a licensed clinical social worker with Caribbean roots, I bring cultural sensitivity and a deep respect for resilience to everything I do. My style is warm, direct, and free of judgment. If any of this resonates, I'd be glad to hear from you.
At Peace and Wellness Center, we are committed to meet the emotional needs of our clients and to help them achieve a renewed sense of wellbeing. We believe that all people have the potential to achieve fulfilling and satisfying lives. The Center provides an array of behavioral therapy services to clients of different ages and backgrounds. Our psychotherapeutic services are tailored to our clients' needs in a nurturing and supportive environment. We are committed to providing compassionate and confidential care to our clients while they embark on a journey to achieve personal and emotional growth. Our goal is to always inspire and guide clients to identify their own inner peace, to harness it, and to use its tremendous power throughout the good and bad times in their lives. Therapy is most effective when there is a feeling of trust and when a strong connection is felt between therapist and client. Through experience, I have found that the client benefits from a first session where they can walk in and discuss their primary concerns and feelings without any pressure. Therefore, we offer an initial consultation. The initial consultation provides you the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the services we provide before you are asked questions about why you are seeking therapy. This initial consultation is also essential for us to assess what we need to know about the prospective client and to determine if the client and therapist are a good fit before we make an agreement to work together. Clients who have had an initial consultation approach their first session of therapy with a greater sense of comfort, commitment, and readiness. Each person has unique needs and goals for therapy. As skilled therapists, we bring a broad range of best practice knowledge gained from training, clinical and personal experiences. Therapy is a collaborative experience that develops as trust is established in an empathetic and nurturing therapeutic alliance. A well-prepared therapist understands just how challenging life can be and will help clients overcome the challenges that are impacting their quality of life.
Hello! My name is Alex Fromosky, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey. I have a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Montclair State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Throughout my time in the field, I have worked individually with clients addressing issues such as substance use and addiction, trauma and posttraumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety, depression, family and relationship issues, and all of the fun stuff in between! Mental health is already intimidating to discuss, and I pride myself on having a direct yet supportive approach when it comes to therapy. I like to bring my authentic self to sessions, and I hope you will, too. I also like to approach some of these harder issues in a fun, caring, and lighter way, so you can feel more comfortable exploring some of the things that have been hiding away for so long. I utilize skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) in sessions, which allows for a well-rounded perspective.
Are you feeling unmotivated, moody, or have run into some sort of life obstacle? Are you too shy or socially isolated? Do you worry too much about tomorrow or the future? My goal is to help you unblock obstacles and help you reach your goals at your own pace. We will work together to improve your quality of life. I currently treat adolescents, children, adults, families, as well as couples. I am a Bilingual Mental Health Counselor and Psychotherapist. I've been working in the area of human services for over twenty years. I help people of all ages strengthen their executive skills in efforts to decrease and even eliminate weaknesses responsible for instability. I am an open-minded therapist whose fundamental goal is to improve your quality of life. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will promptly reach out to speak to you.
I collaborate with arts and helping professionals on a variety of issues, including: finding your voice in negotiation and relationships, getting creative projects and careers off the ground, identifying what's working in your life--and what's not--and how to change things for the better. I also work with issues around bereavement and loss. My training and approach combines psychodynamic, mindbody and mindfulness aspects. I have expertise in stress management (how to handle the present), trauma recovery (how to integrate the past) and creative breakthroughs and empowerment (how to build a future). When appropriate, I use EMDR, a proven method of symptom relief from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); meditation and breathing exercises and other techniques. Equally if not more important is how we fit together as a working team. I invite you to consult with me for one or two sessions and see if you'd like to work with me.
Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone. As a New York-based therapist, I specialize in supporting women and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, and challenges with self-worth. I offer a warm, empowering, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. Using a collaborative approach, I integrate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and strength-based techniques to help you build resilience and confidence. Together, we will explore your unique strengths and work toward meaningful personal growth. If you're ready to begin your journey, I am here to support you. My Mission: To support you in rediscovering joy and fulfillment by helping you navigate challenges, embrace balance, and create a life that feels authentic and rewarding. Together, we will cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of identity. I will guide you in strengthening your relationships through improved communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and fostering lasting, meaningful connections. My Vision: To empower individuals to lead lives rooted in purpose, inner peace, and authentic connection. I envision a world where people feel safe to be their true selves, face life’s challenges with resilience, and create relationships that nourish their well-being. Through compassionate therapy, my goal is to help you recognize and embrace your strengths, enabling you to live a life aligned with your values and aspirations. In our initial session, I focus on getting to know you as an individual and understanding how I can best support your goals. I take a holistic approach—recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit—and work with you to find balance across all areas of your life. My aim is to create a safe and comfortable space where you feel free to express yourself fully. I understand that every person’s journey is unique. That’s why I offer personalized strategies and a flexible, client-centered approach tailored to your needs. I believe deeply in your ability to overcome challenges. Together, we will identify and build upon your strengths to foster healing, empowerment, and lasting change. With extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults, I specialize in women’s health, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, stress management, and life transitions.
I believe growth is not always comfortable, and difficulty does not automatically mean something is wrong. In therapy, I help clients become curious about the patterns, fears, beliefs, and old roles that may be keeping them stuck. Sometimes the obstacle is not a sign to turn around—it is the place where the deeper work begins. We may explore the boundary you are afraid to set, the grief you have postponed, the truth you have softened, the relationship pattern that keeps repeating, or the part of you that still confuses familiarity with safety. I used to think of transformation as the butterfly—the beautiful ending, the freedom, the moment when everything finally makes sense. But transformation is often the part before that. It is the cocoon. It is the dark, uncomfortable, sometimes messy work of making sense of our fortunes and misfortunes, our desires and doubts, our losses, fears, and old ways of surviving. Real change may ask us to sit with discomfort before we feel relief. To grieve what we are leaving behind before we know what comes next. To question beliefs we have carried for years and recognize that what once protected us may now be limiting us. My approach is collaborative, reflective, and practical. I help clients understand where their patterns came from, what those patterns once protected them from, and whether they are still serving them now. The goal is not to force change or pretend healing is easy. It is to help you move through the uncomfortable places with greater awareness, self-trust, and intention—so you can become the person you are ready to become and build a life based on what you choose, rather than only on what you learned to survive.
