My Approach to Helping
Hello and nice to "meet” you! I'm so glad you’ve stumbled upon my page. I know that, oftentimes. simply living can be a struggle, and I am here to help. My approach is not to tell you what to do or how to navigate your struggles, but instead to equip you with the tools you need to do this on your own, independently. More than anything else,I want you to walk away from our sessions feeling that you have developed awareness of how to make the healthy and right decisions for yourself and thus the power over your own life and happiness.
My therapeutic approach involves allowing my clients to explore past and present experiences and how they are affected by them. I encourage my clients to speak at their own pace, in accordance with their comfort level, to ensure them a warm and nonjudgmental space to express themselves. My focus is typically Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Solution-focused, and Existential. I also offer CBT-I for those looking to treat insomnia.
I know that finding the right therapist can be difficult. I hope that I can help make the process a little easier–whether that means working together or helping you find someone who is a better fit for your needs.
