My Approach to Helping
You are a man in middle-age who has never been in therapy before, but you are beginning to be constantly anxious and depressed. Throughout life you have been proud of your ability to just “deal with it,” but now that has taken an emotional toll. Perhaps you are experiencing issues caring for an elderly parent or experiencing empty nest syndrome. Maybe you are finding it increasingly difficult to manage stressors in your job or having communication problems in your current relationship, all of which have suddenly made you feel overwhelmed.
It can be life-changing to have a supportive and empathetic ear and someone who can teach you the skills to manage and reduce symptoms. I have many years of experience as a psychotherapist and am very skilled at engaging individuals, couples and families in treatment using cognitive behavioral, solution-focused and person-centered therapy.
