My Approach to Helping
Engaging in creative work, connecting with your partner, and deepening intimate relationships requires being in touch with your emotions. So it can be particularly challenging when your emotions feel like they’re out of your control—when you’re too anxious to get into character, too depressed to get out of bed, or too anxious for date night. All of a sudden, you find yourself feeling isolated, misunderstood, or drawn thin—like a painter working with frayed brushes.
You deserve a space in therapy to work through life’s challenges. I use Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) to help clients locate felt emotions in the body, communicate with different parts of the self, and revisit significant experiences. This can be especially beneficial for improving creativity or deepening intimacy because it requires tapping into emotions.
A strong client-clinician relationship allows transformance to take place. That's why my primary goal is to fully see and know you. Every part of your Self is valid, and worthy of being heard.
It takes great courage to reach out for support, so I'm glad you did. Let’s get some fresh brushes and start painting a new picture of the life you want to live.
