My Approach to Helping
In times of personal crisis, warm, non-judgmental and caring professional support can make all the difference. I believe empathy and understanding are crucial to healing. Together, we can work to identify places to grow, and work toward solutions.
In therapy with me, we will meet over telehealth. I can use talk therapy, but I can add art therapy and art making if you would like it as part of your care! I am a licensed and board-certified art therapist, and can use traditional talk therapy, art therapy interventions, or a combination of both in our sessions. You'll have a chance to process your feelings and experiences, big and small, as we set goals together. Therapy allows for a chance to make connections and notice patterns, and in doing so, enable you to make actionable changes to your life. It reconnects you to yourself and helps build fulfilling relationships. In our work together, you’ll learn to create space for yourself, set boundaries in your work and personal life, and give yourself a safe space to process your emotions.
More Info About My Practice
My clients value my non-judgmental and individualized approach to care, and my creative point of view. I work with all gender, sexual, and relationship identities, and my approach looks to your strengths - you know what you need! - to support a path to healing. Co-dependence, anxiety, depression, identity, sober curious - more than just search terms and buzzwords, these are the main struggles my clients share. Whether it is exploring how trauma lives on in current relationships, identifying better ways to manage drinking post-pandemic, or setting boundaries with family around changes in identity, I can help.
In general, much of my work is related to managing feelings, unpacking trauma, setting good boundaries, improving relationships, and setting goals around substances. But it doesn't have to be any of these specific things to work with me! Now is an unprecedented and challenging time, and there's room in therapy to find solutions together.
