My Approach to Helping
You are a young adult who wonders if therapy is worth it. You have told yourself many times “Let’s wait and see” and nothing changes. You have guilt and shame about past experiences that the idea of sharing your trauma with a professional is terrifying. Trauma has led you to develop anxiety, stress, insomnia, flashbacks, hypervigilance, and a negative perception of yourself and the world. Therapy provides a non-judgmental space for healing and growth. My goal as a therapist is to re-create feelings of safety and help you understand your triggers so that you can start living life more empowered. Remember, you are in charge.
I have experience working with teens, adults, and couples. Depending on your needs, I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Gottman Method, psychodynamic, and trauma-focused interventions to help navigate the following: anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, family conflict, relationship issues, low self-esteem, life transitions, and grief.
I am passionate about providing a safe place for you to process your thoughts and feelings freely. I provide in-person and telehealth sessions to New Jersey residents in both English and Spanish. I look forward to beginning this healing journey with you.
