My Approach to Helping
Throughout our lives, we will experience moments of struggle, when we feel conflicted, uncomfortable, stuck in unhelpful thought patterns, anxious about the future and sometimes like strangers in our own skin. There will be times when it's difficult to communicate with those around us, when the weight of our stress and worries feels difficult to bear, and we long for some relief. This is the time to reach out for supportive counseling.
I am a Telehealth certified psychotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals seeking relief from the difficulties they're experiencing. I work with clients experiencing issues ranging from self-esteem, to family and relationship struggles, anxiety, perfectionism, communication problems and the need to unload emotional baggage. I work primarily with women in their twenties, thirties and forties to develop effective communication and coping skills, improve relationships through increased self-esteem, and an expanded ability to to set attainable goals and effective boundaries.
I use an eclectic, collaborative, strengths-based approach, tailored to the individual needs of each of my clients. I believe good therapy starts with the right fit between therapist and client, and I am committed to providing a safe, culturally-sensitive, warm, non-judgmental space to explore what's going on in your world, and together we will navigate a path toward feelings of relief, life satisfaction, confidence and autonomy. We will build a foundation of personal strength, mindfulness and thought patterns that will help develop practical problem-solving and decision making skills to successfully navigate whatever life throws your way in the future.
When you're ready to unload your burdens, build up your confidence and and gain a better sense of wellbeing through supportive therapy, I am here for you.
