My psychotherapy practice helps individual adults, older adults, teens and children closely study their lives so they can make effective and meaningful change. I draw on the extensive transpersonal approach to counseling and art therapy training I received in my graduate studies at Naropa University, the only accredited Buddhist university in the United States. I hold the view that my clients' problems and pain, no matter how distressing and debilitating, stand to be their greatest teachers. As such, I choose to see the potential and not pathology in the people I serve. I hold the view that it is in our basic nature as people to move towards our unique wholeness. Our authentic selves want the best for us, and have the wisdom to guide us in that direction. With deep respect and careful attendance, I meet my clients at their door so that we may embark on this journey of unfolding together.

The work I do is highly perceptive, and deeply respectful and caring. As a transpersonal psychotherapist, I have an easy time finding the intrinsic goodness in others. I believe it is the unwanted things in life, the difficulty and the dissatisfaction, that stand to be our greatest teachers. Whether we choose to work together utilizing my skill and training in art therapy, hakomi therapy, talk therapy or an eclectic approach that we co-create together, my services help people transform their discomfort into something useful.

I have a breadth of experience to include service to women and children in domestic violence agencies, at-risk and adjudicated teens transitioning out of the juvenile justice system, chronically mentally ill adults and older adults in community mental health, hospice care to people nearing the end of their lives, and people in my private practice going through difficult and confusing life transitions. Bearing witness to the transformation process of those I help inspires my growth as a professional and passion for the work I do.
