I believe that most people have the answers to their life challenges within themselves but are blocked from accessing the answers by their emotional stress or self-doubt. Simply having a trained therapist to work with can help you not only remove your current roadblocks, but work toward your best and most productive self. I believe strongly that we are not only a product of our biology, but of the family and environment we were raised in. Often times our childhood was not perfect. Examining that foundation, deciding what parts of it we want to continue carrying, and what parts we want to say goodbye to, we can make an excellent start to having much more of a calm and enjoyable life. If you feel stressed out, angry, and stuck, I look forward to working with you to find out what's at the root of those emotions, and working with you to let the negative go so you can get to a much happier & healthier state of mind.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy is as simple as having someone to listen and give you a safe place to express and confront your biggest fears and darkest secrets, without judgement. Most people who have been hesitant to do therapy, say afterwards "wow, this wasn't so bad, I actually feel much better." And further down the road in time, they feel they have tackled emotions and old issues that they had been spending so much time and energy 'stuffing down' in order to not feel the feelings. I believe that it actually takes less energy to deal with the issues and put them aside for good, than it does trying to avoid them or even worse, self-medicate with shopping, food, drugs or alcohol, sex, internet surfing - whatever it is you might be using to avoid your feelings.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Many people feel that therapy shows a weakness in themselves. I believe in just the opposite - that by being willing to do the hard work of examining where we've been, where we want to go, and how to get there, we are showing our strength and ability to confront our demons and move through them to success!
