I work with individuals, couples, and families around a variety of mental health concerns, but specialize in working with women and adolescent girls who are experiencing struggles around body image, problematic eating behaviors/eating disorders, substance abuse, depression and anxiety, issues in their relationships, and dealing with major life transitions. As women, we receive a wide variety of messages about who we are vs. who we should be in the world and holding onto these messages plays a large role in the development of mental health issues. Understanding the experiences that have shaped who you are today is an important step into interacting with yourself in different way.

More Info About My Practice

Struggling to feel comfortable in your body? Wanting a sense of peace with food? I can help. My focus is on the idea that willingness to make change is a key factor in successful therapy and work to help build and strengthen this motivation in my clients. My goal as a therapist is to help you step into a more positive relationship with yourself and others that impacts all areas of your life.

My Role as a Therapist

Finding a therapist can be an incredibly daunting task. You want to find someone with whom you feel safe and can trust. I believe you are the ultimate authority on your own experience and a therapist serves as witness, narrator, teacher, advocate, or simply a kind presence - whatever is most helpful and needed for you at the time.

My Therapy Focus

I work in a highly relational way always seeking to bring curiosity, warmth, and mindfulness into our sessions. Everyone goes through rough patches in life, and sometimes we're left feeling stuck. Body image issues, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, anger, and stress can all be the result. Having someone who is willing to listen to what you are struggling with, help you clarify goals, break old habits, deal with any issues you feel are unresolved, and learn to handle stressful situations more effectively can be extremely helpful. Give me a call and let's get started!

Groups I Work With

I specialize in working with women and adolescent girls who are experiencing a variety of concerns including struggles around body image, depression and anxiety, issues in their relationships, eating disorders, as well as major life transitions. As women, we receive a wide variety of shame inducing messages about who we are vs. who we should be in the world. It is my belief that holding onto this shame plays a large role in the development of mental health concerns. Understanding the experiences that have shaped who you are today, is an important step into interacting with yourself in a healthy and kinder way.
