Billing and Insurance

I am an in-network provider for:

  • Cigna
  • First Choice Health
  • Medicaid
  • Regence Blue Shield of Washington

Fees: If you are not insured with any of the companies above, I am always happy to provide documentation so that you can submit receipts for payments to me to your insurer to be reimbursed for seeing me as an "out of network" provider. I also expect to be contracted with additional insurers in the coming months. Feel free to call me to see if I am in your network, and behind on updating my profile.

My approach in psychotherapy is to prioritize getting to know you as an individual; you are much, much more than any symptoms or diagnosis you are struggling with. I work hard to listen well and deeply, to honor your values, and to ask questions that may bring you to answers to the questions and solutions you are seeking. I conduct all of my sessions in a supportive, kind and non-judgmental manner. It is an honor and a sincere pleasure to learn people's stories; no matter how much pain and healing you have to do, you have dignity, strengths, and bright moments and I get to learn about all of this! I am grateful every day that my job is to witness your tough work's reward in repairs, insight, and empowerment. I'd love to be a part of your recovery process. I have worked in community mental health with hundreds of multi-stressed clients with a range of clinical concerns including PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and psychotic conditions. I have a small private practice in the Columbia City neighborhood in South Seattle.

More Info About My Practice

I will do a free 30 minute consultation with prospective clients who would like to meet me and get a sense of what it's like to sit with me before making any decisions or payments. My fee per 50 minute session is $100. I hope to be credentialed with many Washington insurance companies soon; I have applications being processed for this. At this time, I can take payments from you out-of-pocket, or you can submit my receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. A call to your company to learn their reimbursement rate for an out-of-network licensed social worker will let you know what your responsibility of my fee would be.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Trauma histories, suicidal ideation, dysregulated emotions, and turbulent relationships.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Tell me what's holding you back, maybe therapy's not right for you. Maybe you have someone's stigmatizing voice talking in your ear. Try out talking with me for a session - it's a free half an hour, after all, and you've only spent your time at the end. The choice is always going to be up to you. If we are going to work together, you always are welcome - encouraged - in fact, to speak up if you doubt our approach to your concerns, if you are upset with me, or if you wonder about progress. Doubt and fear are never rejected in my office.
