My Approach to Helping
My practice is open to welcoming a collaborative, non-judgmental, therapeutic relationship centered on helping you build a mindset that is clear, rational, and free of mental blocks. As you work on your challenges, you learn about who you are and how to empower yourself. It's not about being perfect; it's about feeling better about living your best life.
I want as many people to have the opportunity to make an investment in themselves that can have life-long returns despite therapy being costly and time-sensitive. My graduate internship allowed me the experience and treatment of individuals and couples coping with many mental health issues present in our lives today (with depression and anxiety at the forefront). Although I operate mainly through a CBT lens (resulting from my post-graduate training in advanced cognitive behavioral therapy at New York University and my TEAM-CBT certifications from the Feeling Good Institute), I integrate other counseling modalities to diversify and broaden my reach as a therapist. Additionally, I have 17 years of experience working with cancer patients and their families at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a care coordinator, affording me the opportunity to sharpen my skillsets with hands-on experience beyond the therapeutic environment. I currently have a permit, issued by the New York State Department of Education, to practice under the supervision of Dr. Lindsy Koroly.
I invite you to schedule a free-15 minute consultation to share the issues concerning you and determine if my approach and manner are a good fit.
